I don't know how to play slide... but this is what my ears tell me:
It's in Open D.
The intro/verse part is played with a slide and goes as follows:
D----------------------------------------------------
A----------------------------------------------------
F#---------------0-----------------------0-----------
D-------/3-0--/5-0---5---------/3-0--/5-0---5------
A----0-//3-0-//5-0---5\-----0-//3-0-//5-0---5\-----
D----0---------------5\----0---------------5\----
The lead in the background sounds like it is being played with a slide,
and possibly a half tone (between the fretwires rather than over the
fretwires) lower than indicated below, to give it that slightly "off" sound.
D-----0--0--2-2^0--4-4^0--2--0----0--0--2-2^0--4-4^0--5--0------
A---------------------------------------------------------------
F#--------------------------------------------------------------
And that is also repeated over and over at different parts.
At 1m50s you'll hear another little lead bit:
D--------------------0----------------------------
A---0-3--------0-3-----3--------0-3--------0-3----
F#------------------------------------------------
Also you'll notice a couple times you'll hear a chord being strummed,
I believe it to be this:
D----------------------------------------------------
A----------------------------------------------------
F#---0-----------------------------------------------
D----0-----------------------------------------------
A----0-----------------------------------------------
D----0-----------------------------------------------
I think if I knew how to play slide I'd be able to pick out exactly how
that first riff is being fretted... but that's my best shot at it. Cheers.
